Everest Gokyo Valley Trekking

Everest Gokyo valley trekking is yet another very popular and exciting hiking delight in the region. This trekking is considered as traditional journey which offer marvelous view of world famous snow covered peaks as well as many high altitude glacial lakes including Ngozumpa glacier- largest in Nepal.

Gokyo valley trek is fairly popular trekking in Nepal offering great combination of peak and high altitude lake at the same journey. We will have an opportunity to reach on the top of Gokyo Ri (5483m) and observe the clear view of Mt. Cho oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Amadablam in a hand shaking distance. Everest Gokyo velley trek could extend with Everest base camp trek crossing Cho La pass (5420m) in couple of extra days for greater experience of both side. Day 03: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m) and trek to Phakding (2600m) 3 hours, O/ N Lodge

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5 hours, O/ N Lodge

Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (3440m), O/ N Lodge

Day 06: Trek to Phorste Thanga (3680m), 5 hours, O/N Lodge

Day 07: Trek to Machhermo (4470m), 5 hours, O/N Lodge

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo valley (4790m), 6 hours, O/N Lodge

Austravel & Tours Nepal works closely with the CESSAN (children education and social service association Nepal) and is one of the main supporters of CESSAN; we contribute support in a number of ways. Firstly we donate a percentage of business profits to the association on a yearly basis which support the ongoing expenses of school children.

We conduct some charity tour and trekking throughout the year to support school projects. Our charity tour-trek combines adventure and easy journey, providing the participant with lasting memories of the Culture, Lifestyle and Himalayas while allowing them to contribute to a remote community of mid-Nepal.

We also arrange a number of travelers that are including a volunteer stay within the village. Volunteers have been offering their personal skills for teaching to the school students. Please contact us if you wish to teach in the school and work in farms with local people.
