Jomsom Muktinath Trekking.

Jomsom-Muktinath trek lies along the Kali Gandaki valley through the traditional trading route between Nepal and Tibet. This classic and popular trek considered as most exciting and sacred trekking trail on the Himalaya. It offers breathtaking mountain scenery, semi desert vast Kali Gandaki valley with sacred stone called (Saligram- believed to be the replicate of lord Bishnu), legendary culture and tradition of highland Mustangi people with Tibetan influences. Muktinath the ultimate destination of this trek is most revered site for both Hindu and Buddhist for centuries.

Our trip starts with a short drive from Lake City of Pokhara to Naya Pul and ascends through the beautiful terrace field and striking Gurung village. A short hiking through the dense rhododendron forest, the majestic Annapuran range revels above Ghorepani. Poon hill (3210m) a short walking Mountain View point present magnificent scenery of the whole Annapurna region. Just few hours of walking we have a chance to relax with natural hot spring at Tatopani. In few days of incredible hiking over the Kali Gandaki George takes you to beautiful village of Kagbeni than Muktinath Temple at the elevation of 3800m. The sacred Temple has 108 waterfalls that resemble water flowing from taps and a blue flame of natural gas also visible nearby. Hundreds of Hindu pilgrimages visit the site in search of salvation and take a bath and Buddhist make their destination to pay homage at the shrine. From here we retrace our steps to Jomsom- the gateway to the “forbidden Kingdom of Mustang”.

A short yet scenic flight from Jomsom passes through the narrow valley between two giants Mt. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna takes you to Pokhara in the morning and enjoy the last glimpse of magnificent Himalaya on the north.

We use local Mountain lodge called “Tea Hose” managed by local people in this trip. This region has boasts the best mountain lodge in Nepal. Our experience guide will lead you and porters will carry your belongings along the trip.
