Kanchanjunga Trekking

Kanchanjunga trekking lies in the lap of great Kanchanjunga massif in the eastern end of Nepal sharing the border with India. Kanchanjunga (8586m) is the third highest peak in the world after Mt. Everest & K2. Kanchanjunga means ‘the five treasures of snows’ in Nepali is very beautiful Mountain. In fact there are total of five peaks standing one after another with almost similar height but called the same name Mt. Kanchanjunga. The government of Nepal has declared the region as Kanchanjunga conservation area as an efforts to preserve the bio-diversity of the pristine region which is home to the Red Panda and many other snow animals.

Trekking in Kanchanjunga region is a great reward for anyone who loves to travel remote and unexplored area in search of natural beauty. This region is home to the ethnic Limbus and Rai people of Nepal. The people are very rich in cultural & ritual as well as very friendly and cooperative. Trekking through the region is a bit difficult, while modern facilities are very limit and day to day belongings should supply by the human solder. In the recent days very basic tea-house stalls are available in the walking trail focusing to the foreign trekkers.
