Langtang trekking is the nearest trekking region from capital Kathmandu in the north central Nepal bordering with Tibetan terrain. Name of the region given after Mt. Langtang Lirung (7227m.) which dominates the skyline in the north. Langtang is a narrow valley also covered by Langtang national park and has number of beautiful mountains including Mt. Langtang Lirung. Langtang National park was established on 1971 as the first Himalayan national park. A large number of people live inside the National park; the majority of residents are Tamang influenced by Tibetan Buddhism.

Gosaikunda is very popular among Hindu pilgrimage, which history associated to the lord Shiva. This sacred lake has very vital status in Hinduism. Gosaikunda is a major trek of Langtang region ending at SundariJal crossing some strange steep trails. The region is easily accessible by road within 7-8 hours of drive.
